TWIRVALL Terms of Use

Last updated: 10 October 2026

By creating a TWIRVALL account, you accept these terms. If you do not agree with them, do not use the app.

TWIRVALL is a personal project, maintained by an individual.

1. Your account

2. Objectionable content: zero tolerance

There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour. Accounts that post objectionable content or harass other users are removed, without prior warning and without refund of anything.

When posting on TWIRVALL — in posts, messages, comments, routes, listings, group names, places, reviews or photos — you undertake not to post content that:

3. Reporting and blocking

If you come across content that breaches these terms, report it using the action available on every post, message, comment, listing, profile, place, review and place photo. Reports are reviewed and infringing content is removed.

You can also block any user, from their profile or from any content they posted. Blocking hides that person's content from you and yours from them, and stops them from sending you notifications.

4. Moderation

We may remove content and suspend or delete accounts that breach these terms. Serious cases — threats, sexual content involving minors, incitement to violence — are removed immediately and may be reported to the authorities.

An automatic filter rejects offensive terms at the moment of posting. Reports are reviewed by a person.

For places, reviews and place photos, three reports from different people hide the content straight away, until that review. If the report turns out to be unfounded, the content reappears.

If you believe your content was removed or your account suspended by mistake, write to the contact above.

5. Marketplace between users

Marketplace listings are posted by users. TWIRVALL is not a party to any transaction: it does not handle payments, does not verify the items listed, does not guarantee their condition, provenance or existence, and takes no part in delivery.

Agreeing on price, payment and delivery is the sole responsibility of the buyer and the seller. Always check what you are buying and who you are buying from.

6. SOS and safety

The SOS feature is not an emergency service. It sends an alert with your location to the contacts you have configured, through your phone's messaging or email apps. It depends on network, battery, permissions, and on those contacts being available.

In a real emergency, call your local emergency number (112 in the European Union, 911 in the United States). Never rely on TWIRVALL to call for help.

7. Routes, places and riding

Routes and places are created by users and are not checked for safety, legality, road condition, opening hours or services. Weather information is indicative and comes from third parties.

Riding is entirely your responsibility: obey traffic law, speed limits and road conditions. Do not use the app while riding.

To record a trip, start recording before you set off and put your phone away: recording continues with the screen off. Do not handle your phone while moving — stop somewhere safe to finish the trip or check the map.

8. Your content

Content you post remains yours. By posting it, you grant TWIRVALL a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to store, copy, transmit, resize and display it to other users, only to the extent needed for the app to work. This covers the technical copies any app has to make — backups, caching and thumbnails — and passing the content through the hosting providers the app relies on.

The licence exists for that and nothing else. We do not sell your content, do not licence it to third parties for other purposes, and do not use it in advertising.

The licence ends when you delete the content, with two unavoidable exceptions: backups, which are replaced on their normal cycle, and content posted in shared spaces, which remains without your name when you delete your account — deleting it would destroy other people's conversations and groups. This is explained in the Privacy Policy.

9. Availability and liability

TWIRVALL is provided as is, with no guarantee of uninterrupted or error-free operation. Being a personal, free project, there is no guarantee of availability, of data preservation, or of continuity of service.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for damages arising from use of the app, including data loss, transactions between users, or incidents occurring during a ride.

10. Changes

These terms may be updated. Significant changes are announced in the app before taking effect.

11. Governing law

Portuguese law applies, without prejudice to the consumer protection rules of the country where you live.

These terms exist in Portuguese and English. The Portuguese version applies in Portugal; the English version, in all other countries.
